Edana Holliday, PharmD is a graduate of Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy in Clinton, SC, where she received her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2016. Dr. Holliday then decided to continue her education by completing a PGY1 Community Residency Program at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy with her practice site at Rx Clinic Pharmacy in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Holliday is a Trained Therapeutic Shoe Fitter for patients with diabetes, a trained insulin pump pharmacist for Tandem, as well as being a Certified Personalized Medication Review Pharmacist through the Rxight® Pharmacogenetic Test Program. She has previously lead efforts to increase cultural awareness by coordinating the creation of a month dedicated to cultural sensitivity which highlighted a Taste of Culture. She has also been president of organizations focused on serving the underserved and underinsured. Dr. Holliday is currently a member of the National Pharmaceutical Association, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American Pharmacists Association, National Community Pharmacists Association, as well as the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
She is currently employed as a clinical pharmacist at Rx Clinic Pharmacy with her practice being The C. W. Williams Community Health Center. At Rx Clinic Pharmacy, Dr. Holliday has been able to redefine the pharmacy student experiential rotations, the clinical services involving clinical technicians, as well as the 340B contract for nearby entities. Dr. Holliday’s practice site is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) which focuses on providing clinic services to underserved patients in the community. She currently provides pharmacy oversight, acute care management, chronic disease state management, and operational management services to the site.
She is a strong advocate for patient care and has worked with many community service efforts including speaking to patients recovering from addiction who have been diagnosed with HIV and attending local health fairs to provide health screenings. In her free time she enjoys working with youth in her community as well as her church, baking, reading, and watching Hallmark.
